Bilateral Political Consultations between Serbia and Iraq

The delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia was led by State Secretary Damjan Jović, while the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq was headed by Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations Mohamed Hussein Bahr Al-Uloom.

The consultations focused on key aspects of bilateral and economic cooperation, cooperation within international organizations, as well as the most pressing developments at the international and regional levels.

Both sides underlined the need to further intensify political dialogue and promote the exchange of visits at high and highest levels.

On this occasion, the Republic of Iraq once again reaffirmed its principled position of non-recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of so-called Kosovo.
