This event was briefly covered in the leading Iraqi media - Iraqui TV, Samra TV, Al Sumerye, Sharqui TV, the Nina news agency and the daily newspapers Al Sabah and Al Zaman.
The Office for Media Cooperation of the Iraqi Government stated on its website that "Prime Minister Al Sudani announced the start of work on the rehabilitation and development project of the Commander's Club, in the center of Baghdad, which was previously approved by the Council of Ministers." The work was entrusted to the Serbian company Jugoimport, which built the Club in the 1980s. Jugoimport should renovate the Club, as well as the entire content, which includes conference rooms and reception of official delegations, theater and hotel apartments."
In addition to the above, Al Sudani expressed the expectation that the project will be completed next year.
